Hitman 3: Hit Harder
A little game called Hitman 3 came out earlier this month. Heard it’s pretty good; some people seem to like it. Maybe the dev might make some more content like it, we’ll see. The beauty of the Hitman games is the options; the way that players can get creative when carrying out their contracts. Hitman 3 only has six locations, which may seem on the low side, but they are large enough to fit in enough targets to keep players occupied for a while and then coming back for more when they are done.
Speaking of coming back for more, you can bet that there will be more content on its way. In an interview with TheGamer, executive producer Forest Swartout Large spoke about the future of Hitman. Hitman 3 may be the end of the trilogy, but IO Interactive is still working on the game. In terms of DLC, they have not yet determined exactly what it will be. Large says, “I think for now we are not looking at new maps like the bank and the island. We’re more looking at using existing locations and reimagining them, twisting them. And this time around, we can use the whole trilogy. We can look back at Hitman 2016 maps, Hitman 2 maps – we have all the locations.”
It seems that what IO Interactive has in mind at this point is filling the existing locations – from all three of the games – with more missions and targets, which may include escalation missions or elusive targets. If you are hoping for a new and exciting level or location, that may not be out of the question, but don’t hold your breath. Hitman 3 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch. Don’t forget to check out our review of Hitman 3 as well.
