The BJP on Sunday accused Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut of “defaming” Gujarat by calling Ahmedabad a “mini Pakistan” and demanded that he apologise to the oldsters of Gujarat and Ahmedabad.
Speaking to reporters in Mumbai earlier inside the day, Sanjay Raut requested whether or not or not actress Kangana Ranaut had the braveness to examine Ahmedabad to ‘mini Pakistan’ one of the best ways she equated Mumbai with Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
Sanjay Raut and Kangana Ranaut have been locked in a bitter disagreement as a result of the actor termed Mumbai unsafe after the demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
“If that girl apologises to Mumbai and Maharashtra for calling Mumbai a ‘mini Pakistan’, then I am going to give it some thought. Does she have the braveness to say the similar about Ahmedabad?” the Sena MP had requested.
Offended by Sanjay Raut’s remarks, Gujarat BJP spokesperson Bharat Pandya acknowledged the Sena chief insulted the state by calling Ahmedabad a “mini Pakistan”.
“He should apologise to Gujarat, Ahmedabad and Amdavadis,” he acknowledged.
Mr Pandya acknowledged the Sena should stop using any various to defame Gujarat, Gujaratis and leaders from Gujarat “by concentrating on them out of jealousy, hatred and malice”.
“That’s the Gujarat of Gandhiji and Sardar Patel. Sardar Patel has strengthened the unity and integrity of India by uniting 562 kingdoms. Junagadh and Hyderabad have been prevented from going to Pakistan and made to stay in India due to his guts and energy,” he acknowledged.
Bharat Pandya acknowledged Sardar Patel’s dream of making Kashmir an integral part of India, by scrapping Article 370, has been fulfilled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah who’re from Gujarat.
“Subsequently, Gujarat’s contribution to India’s unity and integrity to date and present have to be remembered,” he acknowledged.
