Singing legend S P Balasubrahmanyam’s funeral is at present underway in Chennai. The final rites shall be carried out with full police honours. S P Balasubrahmanyam died at a Chennai hospital on Friday afternoon. He was 74. Veteran director Bharathiraja, who was additionally on the hospital final night, attended the funeral and so did singer Mano. On Saturday morning, elaborate safety preparations had been made on account of the funeral, reported ANI.
On Friday night, SPB was taken to his Pink Hills Farmhouse in Thamaraipakkam within the Thiruvallur district in a hearse van, when well-wishers and emotional followers adopted the car to bid SPB a remaining farewell. PTI reported that the hearse van needed to slowed down to permit followers to bid a remaining adieu to SPB. Forward of that, members of the family paid their final respects to S P Balasubrahmanyam at his Nungambakkam residence.

S P Balasubrahmanyam is survived by his spouse Savitri, daughter Pallavi, and son S P Charan, who’s a producer and a singer. S P Charan, together with different members of the family, was noticed on the hospital on Friday night.
