Protesters took to the streets following the grand jury charges within the Breonna Taylor case on Wednesday.
The grand jury indicted former Louisville police officer Brett Hankison on first-degree wanton endangerment costs for his actions on the evening Taylor was killed by police. Two different officers on the scene weren’t indicted, and none have been charged instantly along with her demise.
Taylor, a 26-year-old Black EMT, was killed in her own home in March when the three plainclothes officers executed a “no-knock” warrant.
Demonstrators and activists criticized the fees, demanding extra critical counts.
