Following Week 1 of the 2020 NFL season, the league despatched a memo reminding groups that coaches and workers members should put on face coverings on the sidelines.
Troy Vincent, the NFL’s govt vp of soccer operations, despatched the memo on Monday morning to all head coaches, normal managers and athletic trainers to handle the NFL-NFLPA Sport Day protocol.
“We should stay vigilant and disciplined in following the processes and protocols put in place by not solely the league, union and golf equipment, but additionally by state and native governments,” the memo stated.
“The NFL-NFLPA Sport Day Protocols…requires all people with bench space entry (together with coaches and members of the membership medical workers) to put on face coverings always. Failure to stick to this requirement will end in accountability measures being imposed in opposition to offending people and/or golf equipment.”
In accordance with ESPN’s Adam Schefter, “fines will ensue” if coaches proceed to violate face masks protocols on the sidelines.
Coaches are allowed to put on a face masks, neck gaiter and/or face defend below the league’s rule.
