The Outer Worlds’ Second DLC Coming Soon
The second narrative expansion for The Outer Worlds, Murder on Eridanos, is coming to Obsidian’s intergalactic RPG soon. Take-Two Interactive recently confirmed during a quarterly earnings report that the second DLC for The Outer Worlds is expected to launch in this fiscal year, which ends on March 31, 2021. While they didn’t confirm an official release date, it won’t be a long wait for The Outer Worlds fans. The Outer Worlds is available right now for Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, PC, and through the extensive Xbox Game Pass Ultimate lineup.
So far, The Outer Worlds fans have only received the Peril on Gorgon DLC since launch, it looks like Murder on Eridanos is coming sooner than expected according to publisher Take-Two Interactive. Upon completing The Outer Worlds campaign, even with the release of Peril on Gorgon, players quickly notice four planets on Halcyon’s navigation map: Eridanos, Hepahestus, Olympus, and Typhon. It’s likely that Murder on Eridanos will at least open Eridanos up for The Outer Worlds fans to explore.
Considering the Peril on Gorgon DLC brought about six hours of new content to The Outer Worlds, fans of Obsidian’s latest RPG can probably expect about as much content in the upcoming Murder on Eridanos. Beyond Eridanos being opened up as a location with Murder on Eridanos, not much is known about the upcoming narrative expansion.
The Outer Worlds will continue to evolve with DLC such as Perils on Gorgon and Murder on Eridanos that will continue to bring fans back to Obsidian’s intergalactic RPG. Are you a fan of The Outer Worlds? Will you get the new DLC? Let us know in the comments below!
