Do You Smell What Microsoft Is Cooking?
You ‘member when Mircosoft first came onto the gaming scene? I ‘member. Do you ‘member when Dwayne Johnson was almost exclusively known as The Rock? I ‘member. Do you ‘member when The Rock helped Bill Gates promote the very first Xbox? I ‘member that too. It seems that Microsoft also ‘members. An image has surfaced of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson holding a custom Xbox Series X. The picture appears to have been taken on the set of one of his upcoming productions. It may be his, but also, it may not be.
The console in question has The Rock’s logo (which I didn’t know he had) in the corner. The gold bull is displayed, as well as Dwayne Johnson’s signature. This sort of indicates that it might be more of a promotional item than a gift. It could be that Dwayne Johnson could use it as a giveaway prize or something, because why would he have his own signature on his Xbox? He has after all been part of Xbox giveaways before. Before the Xbox One launched, he gave away some consoles with the Make A Wish Foundation.
We can look back to the Xbox reveal when it was the controller that was huge, not just the console. Now, the console is huge. Well, even huger. It may not be an Xbox Series X fridge like iJustine or Snoop Dogg got, but a custom Dwayne Johnson Xbox Series X is pretty cool too. Whatever its purpose, it will no doubt go to a good home. Xbox Series X launches on November 10th.
