Amid the continued COVID-19 pandemic, all central authorities pensioners can submit life certificates from November 1 to December 31, Union Minister Jitendra Singh stated on Friday.
Earlier, life certificates was once submitted solely in November for sustaining continuity of pension, he stated.
Mr Singh stated the choice was taken in view of the pandemic and the vulnerability of the aged inhabitants to COVID-19.
“All central authorities pensioners can submit life certificates from November 1, 2020, to December 31, 2020,” the minister of state for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions stated.
“Nevertheless, the pensioners within the age group of 80 years and above can submit life certificates from October 1, 2020, to December 31, 2020. Throughout this prolonged interval, the pension might be continued to be paid by the pension disbursing authorities (PDAs) uninterrupted,” in accordance with an announcement issued by the Personnel Ministry.
