The authors of the controversial e e book “Delhi Riots 2020: The Untold Story” filed a grievance with the police on Thursday in direction of publishing residence Bloomsbury, some media organisations and well-known individuals, alleging dishonest, mischief, misappropriation of property and felony intimidation by them.
The authors met Delhi Commissioner of Police S N Shrivastava with their grievance and sought “immediate and necessary movement” in direction of these named in it.
The grievance accused professor-activist Nandini Sundar and data portals The Print and Newslaundry of “illegal receipt and retention of stolen property”, and several other different well-known individuals, along with historian William Dalrymple and creator Aatish Taseer, of “felony intimidation and (making) statements creating and promoting enmity, hatred, and ill will between classes”.
The e e book, authored by advocate Monika Arora and professors Sonali Chitalkar and Prerna Malhotra, acquired embroiled in an argument for inviting BJP chief Kapil Mishra as a customer of honour on its launch on August 22.

Reverse to what Bloomsbury India had claimed, the grievance said that an e-poster of the e e book launch event in question with the file of “confirmed audio system” was despatched to the publishing residence and that that they’d acknowledged it too.
It alleged that the publishers withdrew solely after being pressured by its father or mom agency Bloomsbury UK.
“The e e book launch event was broadly publicized on social media platforms with full data of the Author. 100 bodily copies of the e e book had been delivered as per the phrases of the settlement by the Author to the Creator on 1.8.2020. On the date of the launch, at 3:30 PM, the Author phoned the Creator to say that it was considering withdrawing the e e book on account of stress of its father or mom agency, and from positive totally different people on social media,” it added.
Throughout the grievance, Ms Arora claimed {{that a}} “venomous advertising and marketing marketing campaign” emerged on the social media and a “group of individuals/ propagandists”, whom she referred to as “Metropolis Naxal Gang”, “conspired and went all out to kill the e e book by pressurizing, intimidating, bullying and blackmailing the publishers”.
