New Delhi:
9 Al-Qaeda terrorists have been arrested this morning because the Nationwide Investigation Company carried out a number of raids in Kerala and Bengal.
The raids have been performed in West Bengal’s Murshidabad and Kerala’s Ernakulam, the probe company NIA stated.
“NIA had learnt about an inter-state module of Al-Qaeda operatives at numerous areas in India, together with West-Bengal and Kerala. The group was planning to undertake terrorist assaults at important installations in India with an goal to kill harmless folks and strike terror,” an official assertion by the NIA learn.
Whereas six terrorists have been arrested from Bengal, three terrorists have been arrested from Kerala within the early morning raids.
“Massive amount of incriminating supplies together with digital units, paperwork, jihadi literature, sharp weapons, country-made firearms, a domestically fabricated physique armour, articles and literature used for making home-made explosive units have been seized from their possession,” the NIA stated, including that “these people have been radicalised by Pakistan-based Al-Qaeda terrorists on social media and have been motivated to undertake assaults at a number of locations,” together with Delhi-NCR.
The module was “actively indulging in fund-raising and some members of gang have been planning to journey to Delhi to obtain arms and ammunition,” as per the preliminary investigation.
All of the terrorists arrested right now – Murshid Hasan, Iyakub Biswas, Mosaraf Hossen, Najmus Sakib, Abu Sufiyan, Mainul Mondal, Leu Yean Ahmed, Al Mamun Kamal and Atitur Rehman – can be taken to courts in Kerala and Bengal to hunt their police custody.
