Goa Police have arrested 42 vacationers after a raid on a playing den at Calangute seaside village close to Panaji, an official stated on Sunday.
Money price Rs 10 lakh, 57 cell phones and different materials had been seized following the raid carried out in a lodge close to the Calangute seaside in North Goa district round Saturday midnight, a police spokesman stated.
The accused, all vacationers from Gujarat, Maharashtra and New Delhi, had been caught playing on the fifth flooring of the lodge, he stated.
All of the accused have been booked underneath provisions of the Goa, Daman and Diu Public Playing Act, he stated.
The official stated they’ll write a letter to the state tourism division to hunt suspension of the lodge’s licence.
