Working from home and the office won’t be as easy as you think — podcast

Episode 103 of Down to Business podcast

Article content

Many Canadian office workers are starting to wonder if and when they’ll ever return to their company’s building?

This week on Down to Business, Doron Melnick, a partner at KPMG and national leader of the firm’s People and Change practice, explored this topic.

Earlier this year, his firm oversaw a survey of roughly 2,000 people, which found that more than half of office workers are ready to return to in-person meetings. As vaccination picks up across Canada, that is only expected to increase.

But there’s a catch: Even more people want a hybrid schedule that allows them to work remotely and work in the office too. Melnick talked about the challenges of a hybrid model, remote work burnout, and what the vaccine rollout in Canada means for office life.
