This Means You Can Now Download or Stream Gwent
Here’s an update from CD Projekt Red that may take the bad taste of Cyberpunk 2077’s botched release out of your mouth: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Game of the Year Edition is finally making its way onto the PlayStation Now streaming service. With The Witcher 3’s next-gen ports still on the horizon, this seems like a good opportunity for PS Now subscribers to familiarize themselves with the title before it hits PS5 and Xbox Series S|X. Players will once again take on the role of Geralt of Rivia, professional monster slayer, and set out in search of the Child of Prophecy–his adopted daughter, Ciri. This open-world dark fantasy adventure will take you across the monster-infested Continent and through a branching narrative where choices matter and consequences are merciless. If you want to know more, check out this grimly atmospheric launch trailer.
This Game of the Year Edition will include the base game, all additional DLC and improvements made available post-launch, and both available expansions. Hearts of Stone will follow Geralt as he takes on a contract from the enigmatic Master Mirror that leads him deep into No Man’s Land and what lies beyond, while Blood and Wine sees him exploring the new in-game region of Touissant, where terrifying secrets lurk beneath a mask of carefree indulgence and knightly ritual. What kind of secrets, exactly? One word: vampires.
Now that the game is released on PS Now, gamers will be able to stream and download the game–and its incredibly addicting minigame, Gwent–through the dedicated app on PS4 and PS5. Or you can just stream it through the official PC desktop app if you prefer to do your gaming on PC. Whatever platform you end up using, it’ll give you something to do while waiting for The Witcher 4.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Game of the Year Edition is now available on PlayStation Now as well as PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
