Top PlayStation Titles Available Day One
The launch of the PS5 is just days away and it’s an incredibly exciting time for PlayStation fans worldwide. Now it’s no secret that while a new generation brings about new technology and brand new experiences, the consoles are a little short on their launch title libraries. Despite this, there are going to be some real bangers to jump into on launch day this time around and we’re stoked about it! So stoked in fact that we’ve come up with a list of the 5 best games that will be available on the PS5 on day one.
8) Sack Boy: A Big Adventure
While Sack Boy may not be everyone’s cup of tea, it is a fun, family friendly game that appeals to all ages. Who doesn’t want a game like that amongst the release titles Of? Of course if you’ve never heard of Sackboy before he’s the main face from the popular PlayStation exclusive series: Little Big Planet. This 3D platformer is exactly what you’re looking for when you’re thinking about getting lost in a new, more relaxed and laid-back adventure. The fact that this game is hand-crafted certainly doesn’t hurt its appeal either.
7) DIRT 5
Without a doubt Codemasters is amongst the top few developers in the racing genre and while DIRT 5 isn’t likely to take the throne from the likes of Forza it proves that it’s ready to compete against the top titles in the industry. It’s even more true if you find yourself in love with the fun, off-road games instead of the hardcore or realistic sim games. DIRT 5 pulls you in, like tires trying to regain traction in tough road conditions. Not only is it simple to learn, but it just feels so great to drive the variety of vehicles in the dirt. Did I mention it’s just plain fun? With new features and even more innovation this is the perfect example of a next generation racing game.
6) Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War
There’s no denying that the Call of Duty franchise is hugely popular world-wide. It’s usually the top-selling game on console year over year and despite some major criticism that the newest iteration is just a reskin of those before it, there is a very, very loyal fanbase. Now if you’re a fan of COD you know exactly why that is. It’s just some good ‘ol shootin’ fun. It’s also a great game to jump into when you’ve got a limited amount of time on your hands. For everyone who’s missed the campaign, it’s back in Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War and set to be even more exciting than ever, plus Warzone is still very alive here. On top of that it’s the sequel we didn’t know we needed to Black Ops (2010) and it’s going to look amazing on PS5. Of course it’s very likely it’s going to run smoother than any game we’ve seen in the franchise so far and that’s extremely exciting too!
5) Demon’s Souls
We’ve recently gotten to feast our eyes on new gameplay for the new and improved, revamped Demon’s Souls (11 full years after the initial release on PS3) and there is nothing to be upset about here. It’s a timed exclusive, which means PlayStation players are the first to test drive this baby. Ahem, I mean hack and slash in this gorgeous and punishing hellscape. There’s going to be new armor, new weapons and even bigger battles against numerous demons in Boletaria. And if you’re a fan of FromSoftware’s library of games, like Dark Souls, Bloodborne and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, then this title is an absolute no-brainer to grab day one.
