The team at Ubisoft Quebec clearly had an absolutely fantastic time developing the stellar Assassin’s Creed Odyssey because they couldn’t leave Ancient Greece alone! Taking all that rich history, colorful characters, and solid open-world and combat mechanics, they took the opportunity to juice it all up with some mythological flair and created Immortals Fenyx Rising. Immortals Fenyx Rising is an upcoming open world fantasy RPG set in the rich and colorful history of Greek mythology and developed by Ubisoft Quebec – the same studio which handled Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Players will jump into the world as Fenyx; a lowly soldier well on their way to becoming a hero of legend (as it tends to happen in great Greek tales) The game is narrated by the bickering duo of Zeus and Prometheus in a charming and light-hearted fashion as the two watch your every move and frequently break the fourth wall. It’s a notable departure from the usually serious and gritty tone of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, and indeed most of the games produced by Ubisoft.
Immortals Fenyx Rising is set for release on December 3, and will be available on PC, Stadia, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch. For more information, check out the game’s official website.
