Boundary Joins the Growing List of Delays
Chinese gaming developer Surgical Scalpels have made the difficult decision to delay its upcoming multiplayer shooter, Boundary. Just like many other developers delaying titles lately, this delay was implemented due to the slowed down development process of developing games during the current pandemic. When it launches later this year, Boundary will be available for PS4 and PC.
Boundary will be a multiplayer FPS experience set in the zero-gravity space which changes up movement and gunplay mechanics compared to other shooters on the market. According to Surgical Scalpels, Boundary will be an online-only experience with a particular focus on simulating the feel of being in zero-gravity space. This zero-gravity mechanic will make sure that Boundary stands out from other FPS titles when it releases this Summer.
Boundary will launch with four main modes: Facility Capture, Team Deathmatch, Skirmish, and Orbital Purge. Team Deathmatch is the expected mode that centralizes on accumulating the most kills for your team in an effort to win. Orbital Purge is the most competitive Boundary game mode as it gives gamers the chance to complete an objective or eliminate the enemy team. Facility Capture is about capturing and securing specific locations similar to Domination from Call of Duty or Conquest from Battlefield.
Finally, Skirmish pits teams against each other in the same class and with the same weapons for multiple rounds, making sure everyone is at the same level. As with most of the game modes, the team with more round wins takes the dub. Are you bummed that Boundary was delayed or are you still waiting to see more before getting on board?
