Who Hits the Beach in January?
Just a couple of weeks ago, Stardew Valley players on PC received a pretty major update to the game. While there were many additions made in the 1.5 update, the most exciting and notable one was the Stardew Valley beach farm layout that for new games. The Advanced Game options also help you customize they your experience a bit. Unfortunately, not all Stardew Valley players across all platforms have these advantages… yet. Developer Eric Barone AKA ConcernedApe has provided us with a glimmer of hope that console players will get this update in early 2021.
There is a chance, albeit a small one, that update 1.5 could come to consoles. ConcernedApe said, “The 1.5 update will be coming to consoles early next year. It’s possible it could be ready by the end of January but I can’t guarantee that yet. Mobile has no release estimate yet.” Like he said, no guarantees. After all, it took over a year from the launch of Stardew Valley multiplayer on PC to make it to Xbox One. During that time, Barone would talk about the challenges of updating the same game on multiple platforms, each having their own specifications.
Basically, it is possible to have beach farms on console by the end of January, but having it on all consoles is another story. Console players just have to be patient I guess. Mobile players have to be more patient. Stardew Valley is out now on PC, Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices.
