Third Edition on Steam
Saints Row: The Third is arguably the best game in the series. There is something special about it. Saints Row IV kind of went off the deep end in some ways, but Saints Row: The Third was kind of the perfect blend of over the top destruction and human vulnerability. The fourth game had all the guns and cars that the third game had, but with the superpowers, they just felt unnecessary. Jumping back into Steelport in Saints Row: The Third Remastered made fans really happy, but Steam users have been missing out. Thankfully, that will change by the end of the month.
Saints Row: The Third Remastered has been out on PS4, Xbox One, Stadia, and the Epic Games Store for the past year. It includes the base game and all the DLC available for the game. The thing about the Remaster being released on Steam is that Saints Row: The Third and Saints Row: The Third – Full Package is already there. You could just get the base game or the game with all the DLC. The Remaster does have higher resolution, enhanced lighting and graphics, but is that enough to warrant another purchase?

If you bought The Full Package on Steam when it came out, that would have been about nine years ago. Sure, maybe you feel justified in buying it again if you love it, but maybe Deep Silver should just retire it and replace it with the Remastered version? Just a thought. Saints Row: The Third Remastered is available on PC, Xbox One, PS4, Stadia, and will be coming to Steam on May 22nd.
