The Railway Safety Power (RPF) rescued a kidnapped nine-year-old boy and apprehended his kidnapper from Assam’s Dibrugarh railway station, an NF Railway spokesman stated in Guwahati on Saturday.
On receiving details about the kidnapping, the RPF performed a search at Dibrugarh railway station and rescued the boy and apprehended the kidnapper earlier than they boarded a particular practice on Friday, stated NFR CPRO Subhanan Chanda.
The kidnapper, a resident of Mahadevpur in Namsai district of Arunachal Pradesh, had reportedly run away with the minor boy with out the consent of his mother and father who’re residents of Dewpani in Decrease Dibang Valley district of Arunachal Pradesh, the CPRO stated.
Each of them have been later handed over to Authorities Railway Police (GRP) in Dibrugarh for additional plan of action as per regulation, he added.
In one other incident, on receiving details about touting exercise, the RPF performed a joint raid with the native police of Bahadurganj, underneath Kishanganj district of Bihar.
