Time to Pay Some Bills
Over the past few days, Gearbox has been unveiling some of the new content for Borderlands 3. Since the first Season Pass’ content has come to an end, Gearbox has revealed the Director’s Cut and the Designer’s Cut. The Designer’s Cut brings in a skill tree for each character that did not make it into the base game. On October 20th, FL4K and Amara’s skill trees were revealed and today, Moze and Zane’s skill trees were revealed. More skills mean more ways to play and more possibilities on the battlefield.
Amara’s new skill tree is called Enlightened Force, which adds the Phaseflare action skill. The devs describe this as a bowling-like skill, which traps an enemy and allows Amara to push it around, damaging it and surrounding enemies. FL4K’s new Trapper skill tree was revealed during PAX Online. The skill tree comes with a new pet, which is actually a Hyperion Loader. Loaders don’t just come in one variant though; FL4K’s Loader can be an ION Loader, a WAR Loader, or a BUL Loader, to help you in a multitude of ways.
Moze’s new skill tree is called Bear Mother. Unlike her other skill trees, Bear Mother actually spawns Iron Cub, which is a mini Iron Bear that will fight alongside you. It also inherits all the Iron Bear skills from other skill trees. Zane’s The Professional skill tree does things a little differently than what you might be used to. It adds a MINTIS Shoulder Cannon to Zane, which can blast enemies or pull them in closer. Triggering the MINTIS Shoulder Cannon also enables both actions of Use and End effects for action skills. Next week, Gearbox will be unveiling Arms Race like they did with these skill trees. Borderlands is available for PC, Stadia, PS4, and Xbox One, and will soon be available for Xbox Series X and PS5.
