The Indian Signal Language Analysis and Coaching Centre (ISLRTC) and the Nationwide Council of Academic Analysis and Coaching (NCERT) on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding to make NCERT textbooks accessible in ISL in digital format for hearing-impaired college students.
In a press release, the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, beneath which the ISLRTC capabilities, mentioned Social Justice Minister Thaawarchand Gehlot termed the MoU a “historic step” as hearing-impaired college students will be capable to entry academic sources in ISL.

The MoU was signed by Division of Empowerment of Individuals with Disabilities (DEPwD) joint secretary and ISLRTC director Prabodh Seth and NCERT director Hrushikesh Senapathy, whereas DEPwD secretary Shakuntala Doley Gamlin and College Schooling Secretary Anita Karwal additionally addressed the digital gathering.
