The year was 2013 when Motorola was owned by Google and they had launched the first line of Moto G line of devices. For the first time, people had the chance to use a smartphone that offered stock android with guaranteed OTA updates from Google themselves. Then Motorola was bought by Lenovo but not much had changed. Motorola was and still doing the same thing that they were doing in 2013. Making affordable android smartphones that run perfectly and offer great value to customers.
Somethings did change when Motorola went with Lenovo. The OS updates that Google used to promise on Moto devices were gone. The stock android UI got a few elements from Lenovo which is hardly surprising but to this day Motorola devices have maintained their aesthetics and DNA. Nothing could be a better proof of what Motorola is about than the upcoming Moto G10 Play.

Yes, the Moto G10 Play is coming soon and it is completely real. The news came from a renowned leaker OnLeaks and finally, we know what the Moto G10 Play will look like when it launches. As of now, the device is being called “successor to the Moto G9 Play” with the model number XT-2117. There is a lot to cover about the Moto G10 Play but let’s start with the design language.
Moto G10 Play:
When it comes to the design of Moto G10 Play we see a clear break from the previous pattern of Motorola devices. The design of Moto G10 Play looks less moto and more Lenovo. Basically, the design is more like the other Chinese smartphones rather than Moto. There is a camera hump at the back with a triple camera array and no fingerprint scanner at the back. From the photos we have the back of the device looks like it is using extremely gloss plastic to mirror a glass effect. This is something that Motorola has done with the moto g9 as well.
There is a fingerprint scanner on the Moto G10 Play but it is located at the side of the smartphone with the volume controls. At the front of the Moto G10 Play, you will see a punch hole on the display located on the left side of the display. It is good to see Motorola avoiding the dated notch design but Moto One Fusion was way better. The size of the screen is 6.5 inch which is now the standard size on smartphones. What is interesting however is the battery capacity of the Moto G10 Play. It has a massive 4850 mAh battery and hopefully, there will be support for fast charging as well.
