Motorola has launched the Moto G 5G in the European market with an interesting specification list. They also launched the Moto G9 Power which has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor and is a more affordable option of the two. The Moto G 5G is going to be powered by the Qualcomm SnapDragon 750G and may come to the Indian market soon. Moto G has been Motorola’s most known line of devices going all the way back to the original Moto G which was released in 2013. At the time it was a groundbreaking device and Motorola was owned by Google.
Fasttrack to 2020 and Motorola still hasn’t abandoned the Moto G and with this latest Moto G 5G they have made it better as well. The Moto 5G is going to be sold for EUR 299 in the European market which roughly translates to Rs. 26,000 in Indian currency. At that price, the new Moto G 5G will go against the Oneplus Nord head-on as its main competition in the global market and in the Indian market when it launches.
Moto G 5G Specifications:
The device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor. The G in 750G denotes that it is a gaming processor by Qualcomm so performance shouldn’t be an issue. There is 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The display is going to be the main selling point for this smartphone. Motorola has gone all out on the display panel and given Moto G 5G a 6.7-inch Max Vision LTPS display with an FHD+ (2400×1080) resolution and HDR10 support. At the back, there is a fingerprint reader so no in-display scanner since the display panel is not AMOLED.
Motorola has given the Moto G 5G a 5000mAh battery unit with support for 20W fast charging. The camera unit at the back sports a triple camera setup. The primary camera is a 48MP shooter. The secondary camera is an 8MP wide-angle shooter and the third camera is a 2MP macro shooter. At the front, there is a 16MP camera for selfies and video calls. Moto G 5G is also IP52 rated for dust protection but is not waterproof or splash resistant.
Connectivity options include 5G, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, 3.5mm headphone jack, Type-C port, and Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac. Out of the box the Moto G 5G will run on Android 10.
