Marvel’s Avengers Cosmetics Permanently Discounted | COGconnected

Aesthetic and Affordable

Good news, bad news. The good news is: for Marvel’s Avengers fans, things like Takedowns and Emotes are permanently discounted in the Marketplace. The bad news is: for Marvel’s Avengers fans, this move might appear to be a desperate attempt by Crystal Dynamics to keep players around while they build up their game. As an avid player, your ol’ pal Zane is just going to turn his back on the bad news and enjoy the discounted items, sweating from the prospect of the game slowing down (which it very well might be).

Let’s clear things up though. The discounted items are only the ones in the Marketplace, which can be found on the main menu. This store accepts Credits; a premium currency in the game. Previously, Legendary Emotes would run you 1,200 each, and Legendary Takedowns would cost 1,400 Credits each. Now, Legendary, Epic, and Rare Emotes cost 500, 250, and 125 Credits respectively, and Legendary Takedowns cost 600. It’s a pretty major discount. At the moment, it appears that Outfits are also discounted, but Crystal Dynamic’s announcement does not include Outfits. If you have spare Credits, my advice would be to scoop up all the Legendary Outfits you like while they are cheap.

The Marketplace is not the only place to buy cosmetics though. The Cosmetic vendor on the Chimera also sells them, but they trade in Units, which is a different form of currency. These items in the Cosmetic vendor’s shop are not discounted. The prices of the Marketplace items began to be affected when the Appreciation Bundle was sent out to players. You can still pick up these rewards before they expire on November 5th. Marvel’s Avengers is available on PC, Stadia, Xbox One, and PS4, and will be available on Xbox Series X and PS5 at a later date.
