I Can Make Your Sandrock
In early 2019, Chinese developer Pathea Games released My Time at Portia after a bit of time on early access. Now just over a year later, Pathea Games has announced a successor, My Time at Sandrock. While My Time at Portia took place in a lush, green country or plains, My Time at Sandrock brings the player to a more desolate part of a rebuilding world. Pathea Games has opened up their Kickstarter for My Time at Sandrock with a goal of $100,000. They made good on their previous Kickstarter and they look to do it again.
In My Time at Sandrock, the player arrives in the town to replace their previous builder. Sandrock is on the outs and so are many of its townsfolk. The goal in this game is to rebuild Sandrock to its former glory, but its desert location might make it a little more challenging. There are also more threats around town, including bandits and creatures, mechanical and biological alike. The trailer shows off many familiar aspects of the game from My Time at Portia, as well as a revamped combat system.
The trailer is followed up by a message from the developers, giving a more detailed explanation of the game. My Time at Sandrock is scheduled for early access on Steam in March, 2021 and a full release on PC, Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch in Spring 2022, as well as a release on PS5 and Xbox Series X in Summer 2022. Early access will give players a solo shot at the game, but Pathea Games is aiming for multiplayer in the full release.
