Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, erstwhile Kolkata Port Belief, has obtained Rs 20 crore in reference to a courtroom case associated to a Russian vessel Beletsky which was arrested at Haldia Dock Advanced (HDC) in 2017, an official mentioned.

“The proprietor of the 179.5-metre lengthy bulk service did not pay dues to the port authorities, which led to the arrest,” the official mentioned, including that the vessel had remained docked at Haldia for lengthy.
The courtroom granted permission to the port to promote the vessel final yr to understand its dues.
“The ship was offered at Rs 20 crore. The port had realised part of the sale proceeds earlier and obtained Rs 18.74 crore on Friday,” he added.
