PlayStation Plus Debuts on the PS5
PlayStation Plus has been one of the PlayStation’s biggest selling points for a long time. The system allows players to get up to three free games per console a month, and rather than small-scale or indie games these have often been AAA offering’s, like Bioshock: Infinite, Batman: Arkham City, and The Last of Us: Remastered. November is set to be a swan song, of sorts: while the system will still be available, more and more players will gradually upgrade to the PS5. Conversely, since the PS5 is a Launch console there aren’t as many PS5 games which aren’t also coming to the PS4 to choose from.
The biggest way that Sony are alleviating this is the introduction of the PlayStation Plus Collection – a set of 18 of the PS4’s most critically acclaimed games, which will be available for free, but they’ll also be offering Bugsnax – an upcoming game which sees the player hunting for the titular bug/snack hybrids.

Also available for both the PS4 and PS5 are:
Middle-Earth: Shadow of War – A fantasy action-RPG set in the Lord of the Rings Universe, which uses an unique Nemesis system to create personalized relationships with your foes
Hollow Knight: Voidheart Edition – A side-scrolling platformer which sees you exploring a mysterious underworld and facing epic boss battles.
As far as the PlayStation Plus Collection goes, the system will enhance the experience of playing the downloaded PS4 games, which will benefit from a better framerate and faster load-screen.
While both Middle-Earth: Shadow of War and Hollow Knight: Voidheart Edition will be available for the standard month, Bugsnax will be available all the way up until January, although whether this will be the case for all PS5 entries going forward or if it’s a result of the PS5’s more limited offerings compared to the PS4 and the issues with pre-orders, we don’t know.
