This Would Be the Perfect Time to Unveil the Next Forza Horizon
Ever since the series began in 2012, we’ve gotten a new Forza Horizon game announced every 2 years. According to that schedule, we should have gotten Forza Horizon 5 back in 2020, but the pandemic ruined that for everyone. At least Forza Motorsport is on its way. However, a series of cryptic tweets from industry insiders appear to suggest that Forza Horizon 5 will be released this year, and what better place is there to announce this upcoming game than E3 2021? First of all, we have already received some teases about the future direction of Forza Horizon 5 back in April, when Windows Central’s Jez Corden tweeted about his desire to go to Mexico back in April, adding a car emoji and a Mexican flag after the text. Noted industry insider Jeff Grubb replied to this tweet by sharing a sample of his Spanish lessons: “El coche va vroom,” which means “the car goes vroom.”
I’m doing my Duolingo Spanish lessons as well.

This may not sound particularly convincing until you realize that Jeff Grubb also spoke about these tweets on the Iron Lords Podcast on May 2nd, where he was asked about them. He replied, “Let’s start with Forza and the Mexican flag, I wonder what that means.”
He went on to disprove a previous set of rumors that Forza Horizon 5 would take place in Japan and strongly suggested that the franchise’s most recent open-world racing game would be headed to Mexico. Still not a true announcement, but Jeff Grubb is a pretty trusted source, so this seems like a real possibility. In March, he also shared a tweet stating his belief that Forza Horizon 5 would come out in 2021. If the release date is that close, we can probably expect Forza Horizon 5 to be revealed properly quite soon. And with E3 2021 on the horizon, the timelines appear to match up. Well-known Xbox community member Klobrille backed him up and added the possibility that Forza Horizon 5 could appear in the Xbox and Bethesda showcase, which is scheduled for June 13th, 2021.
