Fallout 76 Update Spreads the Love
Bethesda has officially released the first 2021 update to Fallout 76, version 1.5.1.26, bringing with it several improvements to the game alongside the Valentine’s Day-themed “Spread the Love” event. The new update weighs in at around 2GB on PC, 4.2 GB on PS4, and 4.8 GB on Xbox One. Fallout 76 is available right now for said devices and is also part of the extensive Xbox Game Pass Ultimate lineup.
One of the primary improvements made to Fallout 76 with version 1.5.1.26 is an overhaul to the inventory system, increasing the amount of stuff Fallout fans can carry and making it easier to sort the newly expanded inventory. The stash was increased by 50%, allowing wasteland survivors 1,200 pounds to play with.
With the expanded inventory system comes new inventory tabs that will automatically stack items in an existing inventory slot, while freshly looted items, gear, etc. appear newest to oldest in the “new” tab. Rather than being put into the “aid” tab, food and drink now have a designated tab just as “armor” now has its own menu.
Fallout 76’s build mode UI was improved with version 1.5.1.26, making it more friendly for those suffering from colorblindness and making it stand out better for other gamers. The Valentine’s Day-themed “Spread the Love” event lasts from now until February 16th and Fallout 76 fans will be able to claim a free skin and complete challenges that will unlock new cosmetic and consumable rewards.
