Sing a Song and Do a Dance
The new Kingdom Hearts game comes out this week. As we all know, Melody of Memory will be a major departure from the series gameplay-wise. While players will be beating up Heartless and Nobodies to the rhythm of music from previous Kingdom Hearts games, Kairi will also be reliving the events of those games, acting as a sort of series recap. Today, we are learning which songs we will be playing through when the game launches. The Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory songs span all the games and even beyond.
Kingdom Hearts began as a collision between Disney and Final Fantasy. The musicality and charm of Disney mixed with the action and magic of Final Fantasy was wonderful. Now, Disney’s music will really take center stage in this game. A lot of the music will be original music from the Kingdom Hearts games, but there will also be a ton of Disney classics. From worlds that Sora and friends have visited, we will be hearing Under the Sea, Part of Your World, Circle of Life, Beauty and the Beast, A Whole New World, This Is Halloween, and yes, Let It Go.
Melody of Memory will also feature music from the Orchestra -World Tour- Album and the Piano Collections, and for die hard Final Fantasy fans, One-Winged Angel will also be playable. Since some of the songs are from outside the games or from optional bosses, we still don’t know how they will fit in or if they will be bonus songs in a free play mode or multiplayer. Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory will be available on November 13th for PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
