Following the Trail Blazers five-point defeat in Denver, head coach Terry Stotts offered an update on CJ McCollum‘s foot injury. Well, as much of an update as he could provide.

“He’s still working on his rehab. He’s not doing much. Whatever you’ve seen him do on social media is about all that he’s doing,” explained Terry Stotts.
On February 16th, McCollum had his left foot re-evaluated after suffering a left mid-foot fracture on January 16 against the Atlanta Hawks. Trail Blazers President of Basketball Operations, Neil Olshey, gave the latest update on McCollum, announcing that the Blazers starting shooting guard, “continues to progress in his return to action.”
“McCollum, who was examined today by team medical personnel, will no longer be required to wear a walking boot and will advance to the next stage of his rehabilitation. He will be reevaluated again in two weeks,” said Olshey.
That timeline has McCollum’s re-evaluation set to occur around March 2nd, two days before Portland’s final game heading into the All-Star break (vs. Sacramento).
Last Friday, McCollum and Jusuf Nurkić got some work in at the Trail Blazers practice facility, as posted by the Blazers organization.

As far as McCollum’s general recovery, Stotts seemed content.
“The rehab is going well. We are pleased with the way the foot is healing but there’s really not much more to that.”
However, despite the shooting guard returning for light on-court work after getting his boot off, the Blazers are taking their time with his recovery.
“He’s not running. Stationary shooting [only]. He needs to let it run its course,” concluded Stotts.
Before suffering the foot sprain, McCollum was off to his best start in his career, averaging 26.7 points on 47.3% FG including 44.1% from three to go along with 3.9 rebounds and 5.0 assists through 13 games.
“I don’t have a timeline. I’ll return when I feel like myself,” explained McCollum on January 19th.
