Get Ready for a New Journey
It may be small game compared to its sister franchise, Mass Effect, but BioWare’s Dragon Age series is still a big name, and there’s a lot of anticipation for the upcoming game, Dragon Age 4.
Details on the upcoming RPG are relatively sparse. The only thing we know about the story so far is that there’s a theme of having no power. Perhaps, unlike previous games, your party will never ascend to the levels of fame and notoriety as say, the Inquisition? Who can say, but given there’s been a big shift in society over the past several years, with more and more people – especially young people – frustrated that their voices aren’t being heard and they’re not being given the same opportunities as previous generations, it’s certainly a theme that a lot of people can relate to.
Taking to Twitter, BioWare’s Executive Producer Christian Dailey dropped a new piece of concept art, showcasing a masked archer. Of course, archers aren’t anything new in the gaming world – Archery has seemingly become one of the default weapons favoured by heroes like Ellie, Aloy, Link, and Lara Croft – but it’s safe to say that even compared to Aloy’s futuristic take on the weapon, the one on display here is unusual.
Just wanted to say Happy New Year to everyone. I hope all are safe and well. Here’s to new beginnings… 🏹💘🏹🐲🐉🐲 pic.twitter.com/Hy22jd0swl

As you can see, the weapon isn’t forged, so to speak; the “bow” is made up of a group of rocks held together by telekinesis, while the arrow itself is made up of some form of spectral energy. As for the bowstring… well, it’s not visible – it is a string, after all – but given that the bow and arrow are both seemingly conjured from either thin air or the surroundings it’s safe to say that the figure may be eschewing this component, too.
