A beggar’s two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, who had been kidnapped from Nanjangud city final Thursday, has been traced in Hunasekuppe village in close by H.D. Kote taluk.
The police arrested Gangaraju, 47, a resident of the village, for allegedly abducting the beggar Parvathi’s daughter from the pavement close to Srikanteshwara Temple on October 1.
Inspector of Nanjangud City Police Station Lakshmikanth Talwar informed The Hindu that the accused had achieved soto fulfill his “mentally unstable” daughter’s “motherly craving” after she misplaced two infants.
The daughter of the accused, who had been married 5 years in the past, had twice delivered still-born infants after caesarean operations. When she misplaced her second little one final month, Gangaraju had set out on the lookout for a toddler to fulfill his daughter’s craving to have a toddler to take care of, Mr. Talwar stated.
