Asus has been hyping up the launch of its new ZenFone 7. The new Asus Zenfone 7 is going to be the company’s flagship device and will be launching on the 27th of August in Taiwan. Now only days before the official launch of the smartphone key specifications have leaked online giving an idea of what the smartphone will be packing under the hood. Surprisingly enough the details for the Asus Zenfone 7 were found in the kernel of the much famous ROG Phone 3. There are reports saying that the smartphone will come to the Indian markets as well but there has been no official confirmation by the Asus India twitter handle as of yet.

Asus Zenfone 7 Leaked Specifications:
From the leaks that have surfaced online about the device, it looks like the new Asus Zenfone 7 will be more of a balanced smartphone for the masses rather than a gaming-focused smartphone. The reports say that the Asus Zenfone 7 will sport an LCD panel by BOE rather a using an AMOLED panel and will sport a 6.4-inch display with 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution. There are also reports saying that the Asus Zenfone 7 will only sport a 60Hz refresh panel instead of using a higher refresh panel. This move was probably done for two reasons. One reason probably was to conserve battery drain and extend battery life for users who prefer a longer-lasting battery. The second reason could be just to make the device more competitive in pricing.
When it comes to the processor under the hood in Asus Zenfone 7 the report suggests that instead of using the more recent Snapdragon 865 plus, Asus has gone with the older but still powerful Snapdragon 865. This will make the new Zenfone 7 a 4G device rather than a 5G device. The camera setup at the back will be using a triple camera instead of a quad camera setup. The primary camera will be a 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor. The secondary camera will be a 12MP IMX363 ultrawide angle lens and the third camera will be a ToF or Time of Flight camera. When it comes to the battery, the Asus Zenfone 7 is reported to use a 5000mAh battery unit with 30W of fast charging. A motorized camera might also make an appearance on the Zenfone 7 but there is no reason to think so since Asus is clearly trying to cut the competition in pricing and compete with the other devices with similar specs in pricing.
