Raipur:
9 maoists have been arrested by safety forces in Chhattisgarh’s insurgency-hit Dantewada district, a police official stated on Sunday.
Performing on particular inputs, a joint group of the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and district police arrested the cadres from a forest between Mailwada and Mokhpal villages on Saturday night, Dantewada Superintendent of Police Abhishek Pallava instructed PTI.
On seeing the patrolling group, the rebels tried to flee from the spot, positioned round 400 km from the state capital Raipur, however they had been caught after a brief chase, the official stated.
These arrested had been recognized as Nanda Kawasi (28), Badi Vanjam (22), Nanda Padiami (40), Pajja Vanjam (23), Sanna Mandavi (23), Guddi Muchaki (21), Hunga Hemla (24), Naga Hemla (25) and Pala Ram (24), all decrease rung cadres, he stated.
All of them had been lively as members of the janmilitia teams and Dandakaranya Adivasi Kisaan Majdoor Sangthan (DAKMS)- a frontal wing of Maoists, the official stated.
