This is the third attack on the security forces in a week in Jammu and Kashmir.
On August 14, two policemen were killed and another was injured after a team of cops came under attack from terrorists at Nowgam on the outskirts of Srinagar.
“Terrorists fired indiscriminately upon police party near Nowgam Bypass. 3 police personnel injured. They were shifted to hospital for treatment where two among them attained martyrdom (sic),” the Kashmir Zone Police had said in a tweet.
The attack was caught on CCTV, which suggested security lapses that allowed the terrorists to escape.
On August 12, an army soldier was injured after a Quick Reaction Team (QRT) of Army was attacked at Hygam along Srinagar-Baramulla highway.
Yesterday, a man was shot dead by terrorists in Pulwama.
