Dimapur:
A metallic scrap collector was killed and 4 others have been injured on Tuesday when a suspected World Struggle II-era bomb exploded in Nagaland’s Dimapur district, police stated.
The blast occurred in Burma Camp space when the scrap collector was pounding the bomb with a hammer to dismantle it, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone-1) Dr Naieem Mustafa stated.
The bomb is suspected to be of World Struggle II-era, he stated.
His home was partially broken because of the blast.
All of the 4 injured individuals, together with a lady, have been taken to a hospital, he stated.
Additional investigation is underway, the officer added.
